About Us
OccuCare Systems and Solutions has provided clinicians, patients and employers with world class service and programming since 1992. The company was originally started by a Physical Therapist and a human resource/safety professional. During the early years the primary service line was providing companies throughout the United States with workers’ compensation cost reduction services. Many national clients realized a 75% workers compensation cost savings within the first year of service.
In 1994 OccuCare began performing Functional Capacity Evaluations in various clinics between Chicago, IL and Milwaukee, WI. The quality of their FCE was recognized immediately. Case managers and physicians in this market started requesting their clients participate in FCE’s that were performed by OccuCare’s high quality staff.
In 1996 OccuCare began performing Pre-Placement Screenings at various locations throughout Illinois and Wisconsin and presently performs thousands of pre-placement tests yearly throughout North America.
OccuCare continued it’s double digit growth performing clinic based industrial rehab and on-site cost reduction services when in 2002 they needed to update their functional capacity evaluation to meet the ever growing need for FCE’s. They developed a desk top software application to speed up the FCE documentation process. The buzz began and many clinics in the Midwest began hearing about OccuCare’s ability to complete very high quality, reliable and valid FCE’s within 1 hour of the evaluation. These clinics began asking to purchase the rights to use this newly developed software.
In 2004 a number of upgrades were realized including the ability to provide the many clinics around the country with updates to software and the initial stages of our web based Online Assessment Application was born. In 2005 the Online Assessment Application was launched with great reception from the industrial rehabilitation community.
Presently the Online Assessment Application is being performed in 14 states and Canada. OccuCare trains 10 to 20 new clinicians per month on how to provide the highest quality industrial rehabilitation products and how to use our state of the art Online Assessment Application.
