Functional Capacity Evaluation Training
Course Description
The Functional Capacity Evaluation training program is designed for professionals who are looking to expand their knowledge and/or implement Functional Capacity Evaluations into their practice. Following the completion of this three day course you will be able to plan, administer, and perform high level Functional Capacity Evaluations that exceed industry reliability and validity levels. This course is one of the best steps in attaining the Certified Functional Capacity Evaluator TM certification.
You will receive hands on experience throughout the course with daily practicum’s performing individual FCE components with a full FCE on day three. The protocols and training are built around assessment tools that have been court tested with published reliability and validity studies. The FCE methodology that will be trained also has validity and reliability research to back it up if deposed in a court of law. Following the completion of this course you will receive ongoing testing support as you grow and expand your FCE practice. OccuCare’s Online Assessment Application will be utilized during the course as a training tool. This is an optional piece of software however it is a highly recommended software program that will greatly improve your productivity and efficiency in completing Functional Capacity Evaluations.

- Demonstrate ability to perform/document safe, reliable, and defensible FCE’s
- Consistently identify safe occasional, frequent, or continuous abilities
- Demonstrate understanding of consistency of effort and reliability of pain
- Accurately extrapolate data to an 8 hour day
- Demonstrate knowledge of kinesiophysical lifting protocols
- Recognize FCE documentation that enhances your reports
- Back up your FCE results in a court of law
