Chicago therapy practice specializes in the treatment of the injured worker

OccuCare Systems and Solutions' recently completed their most popular industrial rehab continuing education course in Chicago, Illinois. Therapists from around the country came to Chicago to participate in OccuCare's Comprehensive Industrial Rehab Training course. Center of Balance in Chicago, Illinois participated in this course and implemented OccuCare's comprehensive industrial rehab software system at this training program.
Center of Balance's owner has performed Functional Capacity Evaluations and impairment evaluations previously but was looking to expidite these processes with a software system and implement a full approach to industrial rehab. Three of Center of Balance's staff participated in OccuCare's Comprehensive Industrial Rehab Training course and were all taught how to use the industry's most comprehensive suite of web based industrial rehab software. The software OccuCare implemented into The Center of Balance offers six different industrial rehab testing options which produces eight different return to work reports all in one system.
Following the 4 day course and software implementation into The Center of Balance the owner, Meg Naulty, PT, OCS reported "The software manipulation and review of the testing protocols was the most beneficial aspect of the course"
A second staff memeber from this clinic, Rich Wu, PTA reported "The presenter was extremly informative. He was able to answer all questions that were asked. He had a perfect blend of lecture and hands-on training."
Many rehab facilities looking to implement industrial rehab are turning to OccuCare's software and training secondary to the innovative products they offer in their program. These innovative products include Functional Progress Notes TM and Functional Discharge Summaries TM which are functional re-assessments that are performed during outpatient therapy. Unlike an FCE that tests a persons entire body, these functional re-assessments test the injured joint to help determine if the injured joint is ready to return to full duty work. These functional re-assessments do not require a Dr's order, do not require insurance approval, and usually are a 50% to 100% higher charge ticket as compared to a standard re-eval charge tickets.
The methodologies OccuCare teaches clinics throughout the United States include implementing a full approach to industrial rehab from initial outpatient eval all the way to return to work. Clinics that implement OccuCare's Online Assessment Application and participate in their Comprehensive Industrial Rehab Training course are clinics that specialize in the treatment of the injured worker.
OccuCare's Online Assessment Application is the fastest growing tool for therapy practitioners to implement a very customizable industrial rehab assessment tool. The Online Assessment Application has the most testing options available on the open market which include
performing:
- Functional Capacity Evaluation
