Louisiana hospital specializes in the treatment of the injured worker
OccuCare Systems and Solutions' is proud to announce that River Parishes Hospital out of LaPlace, Louisiana recently began using the Online Assessment Application in their outpatient rehab department. River Parishes Hospital was looking to expand their rehab department offerings. Due to the amount of industry in their town and the great reimbursement when treating the work comp patient in Louisiana they wanted to implement a program that helped them specialize in the treatment of the injured worker.
Ryan Andrews, PT, River Parishes Rehab Director, evaluated their needs and decided they would benefit from offering a full industrial rehab program including a full menu of industrial rehab services. The obvious choice after looking at the many systems that are available on the open market was to use OccuCare's Online Assessment Application and participate in OccuCare's Comprehensive Industrial Rehab Training program.
Following the 4 day training program Mr. Andrews stated "The training was much better than I expected" and that the most beneficial aspects of the training were "case studies using the software and the real world industrial rehab discussions".
Following the training Mr. Andrews discussed the need to have his entire staff trained in using the software and participating in the 4 day course so they could all specialize in the treatment of the injured worker.
