Turtle Lake Physical Therapy Implements OccuCare Software
OccuCare Systems and Solutions' is proud to announce the recent implementation of their comprehensive suite if industrial rehab software into one of Northern Wisconsin's most progressive rehabilitation clinics. OccuCare recently completed their Comprehensive Industrial Rehab Training/Online Assessment Application implementation training course in Stevens Point, WI and Turtle Lake Physical Therapy and Rehab Specialists participated in this course and implemented OccuCare's software.. This outpatient rehabilitation clinic has been a leader in their market in regards to clinic based industrial rehab and working with local employer's in helping them reduce their injury costs. Turtle Lake PT has had two of their rehabilitation staff trained and the clinic is now considered a rehab location that specializes in the treatment of the injured worker.
The main aspect of OccuCare's innovative approach to industrial rehab include the implementation of their proprietary Functional Progress Notes and Functional Discharge Summaries. Functional Progress Notes TM and Functional Discharge Summaries TM are functional re-assessments that are performed during outpatient therapy. Unlike an FCE that tests a persons entire body, these functional re-assessments test the injured joint to help determine if the injured joint is ready to return to full duty work. These functional re-assessments do not require a Dr's order, do not require insurance approval, and usually are a 50% to 100% higher charge ticket as compared to a standard treatment session charge ticket.
Following the four day Comprehensive Industrial Rehab Training course one of the attendees, Stephanie Fall, MPH, LAT reported "The course definitely exceeded my expectations - I was impressed with the options and potential of this program".
The methodologies OccuCare teaches clinics throughout the United States include implementing a full approach to industrial rehab from initial outpatient eval all the way to return to work.
