Certified Functional Capacity Evaluator
The highest level of certification through OccuCare Systems and Solutions is the Certified Functional Capacity Evaluator. Following your four day Comprehensive Industrial Rehabilitation Training Program or the 3 day Functional Capacity Evaluation training program your licensed clinics receive a certificate outlining your training and you will receive a letter outlining your contact hours. You may opt to obtain the Certified Industrial Rehab Specialist certification prior to this certification but it is not necessary. Following the
completion of nationally recognized criteria individuals may obtain individual certification as a Certified Functional Capacity Evaluator. The Criteria is listed below and consists of:
Certification Eligibility and Process
To be eligible for certification as a Certified Functional Capacity Evaluator (CFCE) the candidate must
- Be a fully qualified allied health professional who has completed the level of Associate of Science degree within a allied health profession
- Course work to be considered a allied health professional to include and allow for certification includes
- Anatomy/Physiology
- Kinesiology
- Complete the 4 day training program through OccuCare Systems and Solutions
- Perform 25 Functional Capacity Evaluations
- Submit to the committee a list of each of the 25 FCE’s completed
- The committee will pick 5 of the 25 FCE’s for critique
- Successfully pass the critique of 5 FCE’s based on criteria outlined on front page
- Submit a completed application package within 4 years of completion of OccuCare’s four day training program
- Submit a non refundable processing fee US$200.00
