Rice Lake Physical Therapy and Rehab Specialists Grows and Expands Their Practice
Mark Smith, PT, owner and operator of Rice Lake Physical Therapy and Rehab Specialist in Rice Lake, Wisconsin doubled their worker’s compensation patient care following the implementation of OccuCare’s Online Assessment Application.
“I had Dr’s from Northern Wisconsin begin referring their workers’ compensation patients exclusively to me because of the high quality Functional Progress Notes™.” “Case Managers would call the local hospitals to ask for Functional Progress Notes™. The hospitals rehab facilities would say they were not able to provide that type of documentation and the case manager would move their client to our clinic for their outpatient rehab because they would then receive this higher level of functional documentation.”
Rice Lake Physical Therapy and Rehab Specialists opened their doors in 2003 and was looking for a solution to provide the injured worker with higher level functional reporting. Rice Lake began using OccuCare’s desktop software package to perform Functional Capacity Evaluations, Functional Progress Notes™, Functional Discharge Summaries™, Work Conditioning Evaluations and Job Demands Analysis. “This was a good overall product but it still took me a while to complete the evaluations”. “The reports however were outstanding and all of my referral sources were very pleased with them”.
